Duties and responsibilities

Our ideal candidate holds a Bachelor degree or equivalent .Have 3 years of experience in establishing and maintain a good relationship with the private sector companies among with maintain the accuracy of the documents.We are looking for someone that will be able to handle high workload with minimum supervision. We are
particularly looking for a positive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who is capable of working independently and self-starter.In this position, you will join highly motivated and expert staff who are making a difference to the most vulnerable people in the world's biggest
displacement crisis.

The Livelihood Team Leader will be working in the Transition to Employment (T2E), NRC’s active labour intermediation programme that focuses on integrating Syrian and Jordanian youth into entry-level employment through structured screening and compatibility processes; early employer engagement; and post-placement support activities.
The Livelihood Team Leader will be in charge of the outreach to employers with job openings. The TL will be interviewing the employers, creating job profiles, interviewing the job seekers and referring the most suitable candidates to the vacancies. The Team Leader will be managing relevant data sets and conducting continuing analysis regarding T2E activities. In addition, the TL will be in charge of collaboration and referrals with other partner organizations.

Qualifications

Specific responsibilities:
- Building trust-based relationships with private sector companies
- Supporting the managers of the companies in identifying skills gaps and recruitment needs
- Job profiling based on the needs of the employer
- Conducting the post-placement follow up with the employers
- Filing relevant forms to collect data and ensuring the accuracy of the data collected
- Managing the Livelihood Officers who are in charge of the job seeker outreach, training, and filtering processes and ensure that the candidates with the most appropriate skills set are referred to the employer
- Create and Conduct Focus Group Discussions, Key Informant Interviews, and household level assessments regarding employer satisfaction of NRC and external employment support
- Lead all associated reporting activities complying with donor specifications

Generic responsibilities
- Management of project staff.
- Implement plan of action for delegated portfolio of Core Competency projects (activities, budget and project documentation).
- Day to day follow of progress in project implementation.
- Ensure compliance with NRC policies, Core Competency tools, handbooks and guidelines.
- Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need, and explore and asses new and better ways to assist.
- Promote and share ideas for technical improvement.
- Prepare periodic progress reports and other documents.
- Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer of key skills.
- Liaison and collaborate with relevant local authorities and stakeholders.
- Promote the rights of internally displaced/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy.
- Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards & principles within NRC and amongst beneficiaries served by NRC.

Personal qualities

Qualification requirement: Bachelor degree or equivalent
Years of Experience: 3


- Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics (Developmental, Labour) or a related field
- Experience in working with the private sector. Experience in human Resources including recruitment and/or employer sourcing is an asset
- Knowledge of the labour market in Jordan including both opportunities and constraints for Syrian job seekers
- Experience in team management
- High level of proficiency in Excel including pivot tables and conducting basic analysis
- Strong communication skills. Excellency in representation and liaison with external partners
- Strong understanding of livelihood programming. Strong planning, and reporting skills

We can offer

Contract period: Through to 31 December 2019 (Renewal based on funding and performance)
Salary/benefits: 1347 JOD (subject to social security and Income tax)
Duty station: Irbid
