M&E Manager (m/f/d) - National position

Malteser International, the worldwide relief agency of the Order of Malta for humanitarian aid, works in more than 20 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas for people in need, regardless of their religion, origin or political affiliation. Its mission is to provide emergency relief as well as to implement rehabilitation measures and to facilitate the link between emergency relief and sustainable development. Malteser International (MI) is working in Myanmar since 2001, Malteser International currently employs more than 350 national staff in Rakhine, Shan and Kayin states, where our work aims at ensuring communities have access to primary health care services. We also offer comprehensive WASH and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation solutions, and provide relief after disasters. MI strives to enable and empower the most vulnerable communities in marginalized areas through a participatory and sustainable approach.

 
In support of our work in Shan State, Myanmar, Malteser International is looking for a motivated M&E Manager (m/f/d) - National position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a performance monitoring and evaluation plan & data collection tools according to the project’s log frame
  • Ensure the monitoring, reporting and data collection tools has standard operating procedures and guidelines and are being followed during the implementation of the project’s activities
  • Ensure and coordinate the submission of data from the field timely
  • Analyze monitoring and reporting data and communicate timely to staff so that results of analysis inform programme decision making
  • Conduct quarterly project performance reviews with project staff and other stakeholders and monitor implementation of actions
  • Be an active role model towards the community in which you live and work, by adhering to and displaying a healthy behavior and life style

Qualifications:

  • Degree of Medical Doctor or relevant field of study, or equivalent work experience
  • At least five years’ experience in the development sector including specific monitoring and evaluation experience (M&E Systems and tools design and implementation, data collection, entry, cleaning, analysis, reporting)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • A good understanding of contemporary development issues particularly those related to affected people in the field for TB/HIV/AIDS, Malaria, Nutrition, Primary Health Care and livelihoods
  • Excellent organizational skills and understanding of monitoring and evaluation practices
  • Demonstrated experience in managing monitoring data and systems

Conditions:

  • Start Date: as soon as possible
  • Duty Station: : Kyaing Tong Township and frequently travel to project areas in Eastern Shan State, Myanmar
  • Duration of contract: 12 months with possible extension
  • Salary according to qualification and experience: 14th Month Salary & Health Insurance
