The Borlaug Institute for South Asia (BISA) is a non-profit international research institute dedicated to food, nutrition and livelihood security as well as environmental rehabilitation in South Asia, which is home to more than 300 million undernourished people. We are seeking dynamic, innovative and self-motivated professional for the position of Driver. This will be a Locally Recruited Position for CIMMYT-BISA. We are expecting the Driver to completely manage farms operations as mentioned below in job description. The position will report to the Scientist based at Pusa.

The job location will be Pusa.

Specific duties:

• Transport people and materials according to the instruction of the supervisor, which indicate the place and time for providing a safe and efficiently service.
• Make sure proper maintenance and repairs are done on time and keep it clean on day to day basis.
• Record fuel usage in the vehicle; maintain a logbook of all travel distances for booking expense both for project and persona use of vehicle.
• Ensure safety of insurance cover policy, Pollution and registration certificates in vehicle during vehicle.

Required academic qualifications, skills and attitudes:

• Minimum higher secondary (12th) with 5-6 years of experience.
• Good knowledge of local language and road routes of Bihar.
• Basic knowledge of Vehicle Maintenance and Traffic rules.
• Agricultural Machinery Driving and Maintenance Experience preferred (Tractor, Combine harvester, paddy transplantor, etc.)

The position is for an initial fixed-term contract of 1 year, after which further employment is subject to performance and the continued availability of funds. BISA offers an attractive remuneration package, with a range of benefits including health insurance.
