Consultant EbA Readiness-ICRAF Sri Lanka

1.Coordinate GCF Readiness project Activities in Sri Lanka.

2.Represent ICRAF in Technical EbA readiness meetings with MMDE.

3.Facilitate and organize meetings, workshops, trainings and fieldwork for the GCF Readiness project in Sri Lanka.

4.Lead / contribute to organization of stakeholder consultation meetings in Sri Lanka.

5.Collect necessary information and data that informs the work of the project.

6.Update ICRAF HQ project team on emerging developments frequently (through conference calls)

7.Liaise with ICRAF project team to make sure project activities are in order.

8.Generate monthly reports of activity conducted on the project.

9.Contribute to Training and capacity building for Readiness on the project.

10.Lead / contribute to concept notes and project documents.

11.Carry-out Desk research and in country research as needed in the project.

12.Work with ICRAF staff and the Mahaweli Development and Environment (MMDE) to build and strengthen capacity within the Sri Lanka NDA and other GCF focal centres.

13.Work with ICRAF staff to develop Country programmes including climate smart green growth strategies.

Requirements

1.PhD degree in climate change, agriculture, agro-ecology, agroforestry, natural resource management or equivalent (of relevance to management and capacity building

2.At least 5 years extensive experience in climate change practice, and or research or any relevant to the GCF readiness and capacity building.
