The Position:

The Administrative Assistant (AA) provides administrative, secretarial and communications support, as a direct report of the Finance/ Admin. Associate.

Job Purpose:

Under the direct supervision of the Finance & Administrative Associate, the Administration Assistant provides administrative and Human resources support to the entire Gambian office.  He/She develops, implements and maintains administrative processes and systems including the record keeping, travel logistics, recruitment and selection, and internal communication.
 

Qualifications and Experience:

Education:

Secondary Education. Diploma or equivalent in secretarial studies, administration, HR or any other relevant field are desirable.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in a similar position in a public or private sector organisation.
  • Knowledge of the United Nations systems and procedures would be an advantage Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT financial systems.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Languages:

Fluency in oral and written English is required.
