Logistic Officer (m/f/d) - National position

Malteser International (MI) is working in Myanmar since 2001, Malteser International currently employs more than 350 national staff in Rakhine, Shan and Kayin states, where our work aims at ensuring communities have access to primary health care services. We also offer comprehensive WASH and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation solutions, and provide relief after disasters. MI strives to enable and empower the most vulnerable communities in marginalized areas through a participatory and sustainable approach.

Responsibilities:

• Management of the day-to-day logistics for projects in Mong Tong & Mong Hsat
• To collect and proceed requests and quotations for relief items and necessary permissions
• To ensure proper and daily travel, repair and fuel consumption records of the log books in all Malteser cars located in Mong Tong & Mong Hsat
• To coordinate and supervise service, maintenance and repair of transport means, vehicles, telecommunication and office equipment after consultation of the project manager
• To ensure the timely execution of distribution plans as required by different Malteser projects
• To control stocks of drugs, stationary and vehicle spare parts with an up to date system in terms of using stock control cards for each item and by producing a monthly stock report to be sent to the logistics department at Country Office every first day of the month
• To ensure the proper operation of the Malteser store rooms in Mong Tong & Mong Hsat, including security and access, safety, storage and material handling

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree/Diploma in relevant field
• Minimum of 2 - 4 years working experiences in related field
• Good knowledge (reading, speaking skills) in English and Burmese
• Extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems and services
• Good computer literate in Microsoft Word Office, Excel and Email
• Willingness to travel and work in remote Location
• Extensive knowledge of logistic operations like distribution, transportation and warehousing

Conditions:

• Start Date: as soon as possible
• Duty Station: Tachileik Township, Shan State, Myanmar
• Duration of contract: 12 months with possible extension
• Salary according to qualification and experience: 14th Month Salary & Health Insurance
