 Finance & Administration Officer (m/f/d) - National position

Malteser International, the worldwide relief agency of the Order of Malta for humanitarian aid, works in more than 20 countries in Africa, Asia and the Americas for people in need, regardless of their religion, origin or political affiliation. Malteser International (MI) is working in Myanmar since 2001, Malteser International currently employs more than 350 national staff in Rakhine, Shan and Kayin states, where our work aims at ensuring communities have access to primary health care services. We also offer comprehensive WASH and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation solutions, and provide relief after disasters. MI strives to enable and empower the most vulnerable communities in marginalized areas through a participatory and sustainable approach.

 
In support of our work in Shan State, Myanmar, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Finance & Administration Officer (m/f/d) - National position.

Responsibilities::

  • To ensure accuracy in preparing salary statement (Office payroll) and disbursement of salary to staff
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports and fund requests
  • Pay staff advances (Working Advances) and for purchase of project related goods and services after the approval from the Project Manager/ Program Coordinator
  • Enter all expenses on daily basis into the corresponding monthly cashbooks according to location and currency and prepare the monthly closure, fulfilling the deadline for the 15th of the following month
  • Prepare the monthly closure and the scanned receipts for the Regional Support Unit (RSU)
  • To work under the supervision of the Senior Finance & Administration Officer in integrated financial planning, budgeting and reporting
  • Ensure timely organization of accommodation and reporting for visitors

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree/Diploma in relevant field
  • 2 years relevant working experiences in Finance and Administration
  • Working experience with (I)NGO preferred
  • Multi-tasked, ability to work independently and with great integrity and strict confidentiality regarding staff related information
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Words & Excel
  • Good language profiecency written and spoken in Burmese & English 

Conditions:

  • Start Date: as soon as possible
  • Duty Station: Mong Tong and Mong Hsat Townships, Shan State, Myanmar
  • Duration of contract: 12 months with possible extension
  • Salary according to qualification and experience: 14th Month Salary & Health Insurance
