Your team

Within the Network Management Directorate, Infrastructure is responsible for the management of the European infrastructure deployment projects and programmes. It develops, organises and provides European common services including network support services, aeronautical information services and the radio frequency function.

Your role

You will perform the following tasks under the responsibility of your superior:



  • To provide administrative support including agenda management, filing, filtering calls, correspondence, preparing files and presentations for meetings, managing office supplies including IT orders, etc.;

  • To handle queries including sensitive information, seek and provide clarification, and anticipate and flag issues requiring attention;

  • To support internal staff management processes such as leave, flexitime and missions;

  • To maintain, monitor and follow-up on budget, contracts, purchase orders etc.;

  • To provide newcomers with relevant information e.g. on the service, service’s administrative processes, etc.

  • To coordinate actions to organise the necessary meeting facilities and logistics in support of the organisation of meetings, workshops, or special events;

  • To provide reporting on various activities, projects etc.;

  • To support the communication of relevant items inside and outside the service and make use of social means as required to disseminate the information;

  • To perform any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies


  • Secondary education with 2 years of experience.

  • In addition to the above, minimum 5 year(s) of relevant working experience.

  • Experience in administration process management (e.g. meeting requests, agenda management, mission preparation, etc.) and in handling sensitive documentation.

  • Experience in generating statistical reports, budget follow-up and purchase orders.

  • Experience with Office applications.

  • Drafting skills in English and French.

  • Communication: Fosters two-way communication.

  • Planning and organising: plans ahead and adapts as required.

  • At the closing date of the notice of competition, internal candidates must have completed their probationary period.

  • The selected candidate will be offered a contract of 3 Year(s) pursuant to the provisions of the Conditions of Employment of Contract Staff at EUROCONTROL. The contract may be renewed. Before being established in the post, he/she will be required to provide certified copies of his/her degrees and successfully serve a probationary period of 9 months.

  • The successful candidate shall be appointed in principle at the basic grade of the advertised grades.

  • In case of reserve list: Suitable candidates, however not selected to fill the post, will be placed on a reserve list for similar functions. The period of validity of reserve list is 1 year from the approval of the selection board’s recommendations.
