Job Description
Job Overview/Summary: The Caseworker will conduct all steps of the case management process for GBV Survivors, establishment of referral pathways and making sure that services providers understand the GBV guiding principles and the IASC guidelines. Major RESPONSIBILITIES: The WPE case worker shall: Case Management of Survivors ·Treat survivors with respect, kindness and in a caring manner, always maintaining confidentiality. ·Complete confidential incident report and assessment forms. ·Compile statistics and write weekly/monthly reports. ·Give survivors information about consequences of GBV and help them identify their needs and options. ·Develop action plans to address survivor’s physical, emotional, psychological and social needs and provide follow up to ensure needed services are provided. ·Work closely with the clinic staff to ensure holistic care of survivors. ·Work closely with other referral partners to ensure holistic, multi sectoral response for survivors. ·Work with team to ensure WPE program is implemented in conformity with the IRC program frame work promoting and protecting rights, participation, capacity building, partnership, and holistic planning. ·Ensure that all high risk cases are addressed immediately in coordination with the direct line manager ·Participate actively in weekly case management team meetings ·Communicate regularly with program manager for updates on achievements and challenges ·Any other relevant WPE activities as required by line manager ·Collaborate closely with Health team and other sectors when needed. ·Directly communicate with other caseworkers and service providers as part of conducting individual case management ·Regularly attend case management meetings at field level
Qualifications
·Technical diploma or degree in social work, counseling, human rights, or related degree ·Minimum of 1-year experience implementing WPE programs, preferable social work or case management, in humanitarian or development settings ·Experience working with women ·Committed to rights based and community based approaches. ·Demonstrated understanding of working with vulnerable women ·Personal qualities: good listener, team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well and work in cross-cultural setting. ·Fluency in written and spoken Arabic, English speaking is a plus
