In Irbid  , DRC is implementing livelihood programs supporting ongoing cash for work (CfW) projects, protection monitoring, legal awareness, community dialogue platforms and engagement projects; as well as a project which aims to provide a livelihood referral pathway to enhance self-reliance of Syrian refugees and Jordanians. 
 
 
This Livelihood Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that the target beneficiary population in Irbid are informed on and mobilized for the activities and services that are available to them and directly implement DRC’s livelihood activities. The individual will report directly to the livelihood team leader with managerial oversight of the Base Manager. 
 
About the job 
 
The individual will report directly to the Team leader-Livelihood. The main duties and responsibilities will be: 
 
• Meet with the communities (Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians) in their living areas in order to systematically and efficiently provide information of services available (from the DRC, GIZ and from other actors); 
• Collect all relevant information and suggestions from the communities and communicate them to the Out-reach officer and Livelihood Senior Officer for efficient planning of trainings and information sessions; 
• Assist in developing the service map of employment opportunities and referral options by meeting with private sector actors in the target area; 
• Establish and maintain relationships with private businesses, community leaders, and networks. 
• Perform all necessary community outreach activities and document good practices and lessons learnt; 
• Adhere to any internal work plans created by either the Livelihood, Livelihood team leader, or Project manager.  
• Assist in the regular collection of information regarding beneficiary and community needs to feed in assessments and reports; 
• Assist in facilitating the dialogue platforms component, community engagement activities and work closely with the dialogue platform facilitators to plan for the monthly sessions.  
• Conduct home visits for following up on the BNFs cases.  
• Follow up on the vocational and technical trainings (attendance, transportation…etc) 
• Issue work permits and medical insurance for CFW beneficiaries when applicable. 
• Assist in the enforcement of HAP Principles of Accountability;  
• Ensure the application of DRC Code of Conduct and DRC Policies and Procedures. 
 
 
About you 
 
Diploma degree or higher in relevant area (e.g. economics, development studies, Business)

• Ability and willingness to maintain regular presence at project sites and to work during irregular working hours;
