Overall purpose of the role TheSafety Officer– Information isresponsiblefor monitoring and assessing hazardous and unsafe situations and developing measures to ensure the safety of DRC personnel, assets and operations. The SO responsibility is to monitor closely the overall safety situation, collect information, analyze incidents, and report findings to Safety Manager and provide sound and timely advice to DRC/DDG staff and management in order to support the secure and efficient delivery of program activities in Yemen. In addition, the SO works with the Safety Manager in ensuring that incidents are reported through the DRC system andto ensure there aresafetymessages in each Incident Action Plan. Geographic scope: Country Office This role has a geographical focus and ensures compliance to DRC procedures and guidelines within the country. The role contributes to the development of country strategies, which are translated into action plans and day-to-day tasks. The role provides support and/or assistant to area operations while overseeing area activities. |
