Short-term Adviser, Stabilisation Programme for Syria and Iraq

The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has launched a regional stabilisation programme for Syria and Iraq. The short-term Adviser for the programme will be based in Istanbul supporting the implementation of programme activities for Syria. The Adviser will manage the financial and narrative reporting from programme partners, and coordinate the Danish engagements with partners. The Adviser is expected to have two years experience working with fragile states and/or in the field of development and/or stabilisation in fragile states, as well as experience of working with governmental, non-governmental and UN organisations. The Adviser is also expected to have a solid political judgement to monitor political developments in and around Syria in relevance to the programme implementation. Fluency in Danish and English is a requirement.
