Medical Officer (m/f/d) - National position

Malteser International (MI) is working in Myanmar since 2001, Malteser International currently employs more than 350 national staff in Rakhine, Shan and Kayin states, where our work aims at ensuring communities have access to primary health care services. We also offer comprehensive WASH and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation solutions, and provide relief after disasters. MI strives to enable and empower the most vulnerable communities in marginalized areas through a participatory and sustainable approach.


 

 

Responsibilities:

• As a database administrator (DBA) responsible for planning, (re-) designing, enhancing and maintaining relevant data bases
• Set-up and maintain proper and adequate data back-up procedures for all computers and data managed by the programme
• In charge of the health information system of the program and collaboration with all components of the program in order to cover all activities and indicators for which data is needed properly
• Validate and operate database management systems and perform and generate relevant reports as needed and requested from the program components
• Collect regular data from the project sites and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Ensure backup procedures are defined, documented and implemented for all project computers with full database recovery

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree or Bachelor of Computer Science/Technology or International Certified in related field
• Previous experience and excellent skills in setting up and maintaining server and administration of a small office network (wireless & VPN)
• Previous experience and independent management of internet connection and related administration also linked to the local network
• Excellent skills in designing and managing databases
• Excellent in Microsoft Access, SQL, VB and/or other relevant database applications
• Good in English, Myanmar
• Flexibility and ability to adjust duties according to the objectives

Conditions:

• Start date: As soon as possible
• Duty Station: Tachileik Township, Eastern Shan State, Myanmar
• Duration of contract: Until 31st Dec 2019 (extendable)
• Salary according to qualification and experience: 14th Month Salary & Health Insurance
