   Who are we?     
   
     
Danish refugee council has been operating in Libya and Tunisia since 2011 focusing on protection of the displaced and conflict affected population. These include refugees, asylum seekers and economic migrants in Tripoli area and in the south west of the country, the population in and around Sirte affected by unexploded ordnance (UXOs) and to an increasing extent on the legal and illegal migrants and stateless populations in Libya. DRC/DDG has its head office in Tripoli and a field office in Sabha. Sabha is located 800 km south of Tripoli and is a central transit point for migrants and is home to large numbers of minority groups and stateless populations.   
   
   
   
About the job  
   
   
The aim of the position is to offer support to the Supply Chain Team leader  in managing and delivering an efficient and effective logistics services including procurement, fleet management and compound management in Tripoli. This focuses to ensure DRC’s standard policies and best practice is adhered to. 
 
 
   
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:  
   
 • Help ensure that DRC’s Fleet, Warehousing and Procurement policies, systems and guidelines are 
implemented, used and adhered to. 
• Provide logistics support to the program staff as required 
• Travel within Tripoli when requested 
• Maintain safety of property 
 
 
Fleet Management 
 
• Arrange the vehicles movements for national and international staff in Tripoli and around based on 
DRC safety procedures and roles. 
• Ensures the safe operation of the fleet through daily check of vehicles, regularly check for the 
generator. 
• Ensure that all DRC/DDG Tripoli vehicles, generators are regularly serviced. 
• Ensure proper recording with regular follow up on fleet management (e.g. log books, fuel 
consumption, fuel monitoring reports...etc) according to DRC’s Logistics guide line, in a regularly bases. 
• Ensure that DRC/DDG Tripoli vehicles are equipped with all the safety equipment (e.g. fire 
extinguisher, first aid kit, etc) 
• Responsible for managing all the hired vehicles rental contracts. 
• Responsible for monitoring drivers working hours and shifts of duties 
• Liaise with Senior Logistics Officer on any issues with regards to the vehicles and generators. 
• Work closely with Senior Logistics Officer to supervise DRC and hired Drivers to ensure vehicles are properly maintained and ready for use. 
 
 
warehousing 
 
• Participate in the joint verification of procured goods and equipment and to ascertain the items 
conformity to Technical Specifications and Quantities, with projects team’s coordination 
• Organize and rearrange the goods/equipment’s in the warehouse and the office stores. 
• Produce stock movement reports according to DRC reporting policy and formats. 
• Ensure proper recording with regular follow up on warehousing management (e.g. Release Orders , Stock 
Cards, Warehouse Register Book -etc) according to DRC’s Logistics guide line. 
 
 
Assets : 
 
• Tagging all new procured assets and make sure they are listed in the asset inventory list (assets database) at the time of procurement. 
• Responsible for issuing and delivering the assets to the final destination. 
• Maintain and update the inventory list (assets database). 
 
 
Procurement: 
 
• Focal point for the worldwide shipments arrivals at Tripoli (airport-port) ,overseeing local customs 
clearance of imports, until delivery of the goods and the official handover of items against signature of 
receipt. 
• Support the senior logistic officer of collecting quotations, and submitted the procurement documents 
to the suppliers. 
• Ensure that DRC procurement procedures and processes are followed in the DRC Tripoli office 
including filing and archives are in use and maintained according to the DRC and project-specific 
regulations. 
 
Premises Management:  
• Together with the Senior Logistics Officer, oversee the furnishing of office and Guest house 
• Work closely with Senior Logistics Officer in supervision of maintenance and repairs of DRC compound 
• Organize the installation of equipment i.e. generators, AC, etc. 
• Ensure DRC compound is always clean and tidy.  
 
 
 
Other tasks: 
• Translate relevant documents as requested. 
• Other duties as requested by Senior Logistics Officer. 
• Deputise for the above, when required. 
• IT support when required. 
 
   
    
About you :
   
a) Strong communication skills, with good written and spoken English 
b) Confident and proficient in the use of MS Office (particularly Excel and Word) 
c) Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and 
cultures 
d) Experience of a flexible approach to managing and prioritising a high workload and multiple tasks in 
a fast paced environment with tight deadline 
e) least 1 year experience in a similar position in Libya. 
 
 
 Moreover, we also expect the following:  
   
  •  University Degree and an open attitude for learning and take on board new skills within the field of logistic and working under the values of an international NGO.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.
