Digital Fundraising Manager – The International Rescue Committee, Sverige

IRC will be opening an office in Sweden – IRC Sverige in October 2019.

We are looking for a Digital Fundraising Manager to run our individual giving programme for IRC Sverige. This role which reports to the Executive Director for IRC Sverige represents an exciting opportunity to join an organisation with dynamic leadership and significant growth potential. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience of direct response fundraising or direct response commercial strategy formulation in the digital space.An ability to build strong relationships across a complex stakeholder map and excellent diplomatic and negotiation skills are essential, alongside a clear passion and commitment to the mission and values of the IRC.

SCOPE OF WORK

In order to build up and run the individual giving programme in the Swedish market, we are looking for a Digital Fundraising Manager for our new office – IRC Sverige - based in Stockholm.

The role will develop, manage and implement all aspects of the digital fundraising program for the purpose of acquiring monthly donors and raising one off donation income. The role will also manage and evaluate IRC Sverige’s follow up and additional off line fundraising activities conducted by telemarketing agencies and F2F agencies.

The post of Digital Fundraising Manager reports to the Executive Director at IRC Sverige but will work closely with the Digital Communications Manager (Stockholm) and digital fundraisers globally (London, Bonn and New York).

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement a digital “always on” fundraising plan to recruiting regular donors through a range of bought digital channels, including SEM, Paid Social, programmatic and email marketing. Recruit the targeted volume regular donors via digital acquisition within planned budget and agreed KPI’s.
  • Develop and implement a digital fundraising plan for acquisition of new one-off donations via bought channels (for example around Christmas). Raise the targeted one-off donation income via digital programmes within planned budget and agreed KPI’s
  • Manage and evaluate the follow up telemarketing activities towards the newly recruited donors.
  • Manage and evaluate acquisition activities via F2F suppliers.
  • Work with Digital communication manager to develop the organisations organic and paid search marketing strategy ensuring IRC Sverige maximize search for fundraising goals: enabling potential supporters to reach IRC Sverige’s website and maximize the number of people donating online.
  • Develop a social media strategy for fundraising that can feed into a broader IRC Sverige social media strategy.Coordinate the implementation of fundraising’s use of social media, ensuring an integrated and consistent plan across teams.
  • Ensuring IRC Sverige’s donation pages online are maximized for fundraising needs, ensuring content complements fundraising requirements and ensuring donate section and donation forms inspire and drive response.
  • Together with Digital Communication Manager develop and execute the annual cost and income plan for the organisations e-mail appeals towards the existing donors. Improve the open, click through rates, and other KPIs of IRC Sverige’s email appeals.
  • Develop and manage test matrixes that include parameters like: messages, content, images, landing pages, asks, sizes, frequency, price and placements.
  • Manage the creative production of the digital fundraising activities. Work closely with external suppliers on the digital tracking, analysis and optimization of the activities. Manage suppliers such as the digital media buying agency.
  • Stay updated on new development and trends in the digital fundraising field.
  • Report results to the Executive Director IRC Sverige and Senior Director, Europe Fundraising on an agreed basis and format.
  • Work with fundraising and communication staff to constantly keep the organisation updated on trends within digital fundraising and communication and how they can be used to reach for IRC Sverige’s targets.
  • Work closely with digital fundraisers globally to ensure all digital engagement is coordinated, and where appropriate, synchronized.  

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Demonstrable experience of direct response fundraising or direct response commercial strategy formulation in digital space.
  • Demonstrable experience of running and optimizing digital performance activities via SEM, Paid Social and programmatic.
  • Experience of project managing email marketing campaigns from concept through to evaluation
  • Exceptionally well organized, target-oriented and analytic
  • Able to multi-task, plan and deliver projects on time and target.
  • Proven innovative, creative thinker, able to identify new fundraising opportunities and develop conceptual ideas
  • Experience in using Google analytics, and content management systems
  • Able to work both on own initiative and take lead of multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience of liaising with external suppliers to agree price, timeframes and deadlines
  • Excellent Swedish and English language skills

Desirable

  • Digital experience in an INGO environment
  • Experience in managing other types of individual giving programmes.
