The Position

The Programme Analyst: Quality control, learning and policy support in the Uganda Country Office will work under the direct supervision of the Representative and will act as special advisor to him / her on policy matters. The incumbent will be based in Kampala with regular travel to the UNFPA decentralized offices. The Analyst will provide high quality managerial support for programme implementation, knowledge management and learning for policy advocacy at both national and field levels.

Qualifications and Experience

Education: 

  • Advanced university degree in social sciences, economics, laws or development studies  
  • Training or exposure in strategic communications and marketing will be an asset.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • At least three years of professional experience
  • Experience working with International Development partners is desirable
  • Excellent computer/information systems skills
  • Understanding of the UN system in general, and especially UNFPA’s mandate, policies, operations and development topics within the Ugandan setting is an added advantage

Languages:

Fluency in oral and written English
