Forum Syd is reorganising and growing, we are connecting our local and global work to make the most out of our resources, experiences and competences. Among the different changes we have been making we do have a Global Method and Capacity Development Strategy and Global Standards to set up subgranting processes. We are currently setting up a new programme in Liberia and will use our global standard and strategies to set up both the capacity development and the subgranting component in the programme. At the same time we are adapting our Portfolio Management System to fit the needs of our different programmes and increase its usage for monitoring purposes. In order to do so we are looking for a Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to support the set up of the Liberia Programme and the cleaning and updating of our Portfolio Management System.

The Impact and Quality Assurance Unit, Stockholm
The position of Planning Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will belong to the Impact and Quality Assurance department owning the global processes of impact and quality assurance and method and capacity development. You will join a motivated and high-performing team where there will be ample opportunity to influence, develop and align Forum Syd’s global work processes.
Areas of responsibility
- Support the design and implementation of the subgranting process for Forum Syd´s office in Liberia.
- Ensure that the subgranting process at the Liberia office is in line with Forum Syd´s Global standards for grants management, rights based approach and donor conditions.
- Support the coordination between the Liberia office, the Impact and Quality Assurance Unit and the Global Method and Capacity Development team.
- Contribute to Forum Syd’s work with Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation.
- Support the administration of Forum Syd’s portfolio of donor agreements
Qualifications required
- Very good knowledge in Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) and Result Based Management (RBM).
- Academic or bachelor degree in Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Development Studies, International Studies, Business Administration, or Law or equivalent qualifications obtained in another way.
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the development sector.
- Experience with project/programme management and subgranting
- Good understanding of development cooperation in general and Sweden’s support to civil society in particular.
- Good knowledge in rights based approach to development, as well as gender, environment and conflict sensitivity.
- Good understanding of the principles of Aid and Development Effectiveness.
- Excellent ability to express oneself orally and in writing in Swedish and English.
Advantages
- Language skills in Spanish, French, Russian, Somali, Portuguese or Arabic.
- Experience with Sida Civsam grant management.
- International experience with development cooperation.
This position is a full time permanent position with six months probationary period, starting as soon as possible. This position is located at Forum Syd's head office in Stockholm, Sweden. Duty travels are part of the position.
