INTRODUCTION
The Caribbean Development Bank (CDB/The Bank) is seeking to recruit a Young Professional, Data Analyst, in the Human Resources Division of the Human Resources and Administration Department. The successful candidate will be based at CDB’s headquarters located in St. Michael, Barbados.
THE DIVISION
The Human Resources Division (HRD), within the Human Resources and Administration Department, serves as the institutional centre of expertise for the Bank’s people and workforce agenda. The Division provides leadership and operational oversight across a broad portfolio, including rewards and compensation, benefits, talent management, staff relations and welfare, performance management, employee engagement, learning and development, people analytics, and workforce planning. As the focal point for all staff-related transactions and advisory services, the Division plays a critical role in shaping a positive and consistent employee experience.
The HRD consists of the HR Operations Unit and the Talent & Culture Unit.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head, HR Operations & Analytics, the Young Professional (YP) – HR Data Analyst, is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of HR analytics and workforce insights that inform strategic and operational HR decision-making.
The role assists in collecting, analysing, and interpreting HR data from multiple sources to support workforce planning, talent management, and organisational performance monitoring. The incumbent will also contribute to the development of HR dashboards, reports, and data visualisations that provide timely insights into workforce metrics and trends, spanning the breadth of the HRD.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The job will require the YP, HR Data Analyst to:
- Collect, clean, and maintain HR data from HRIS, surveys, and other sources to ensure accuracy and reliability of workforce information to inform business decisions.
- Assist in analysing data and preparing periodic reports and dashboards on workforce metrics including headcount, turnover, recruitment activity, diversity indicators, employee engagement, and absenteeism.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support HR decision-making and workforce planning.
- Support the development and maintenance of HR analytics dashboards and visualisation tools to communicate workforce insights to management.
- Assist in improving HR data management processes, reporting methodologies, and analytics capabilities within the Department.
- Support HR projects that require data analysis, including talent management initiatives, workforce planning, and organisational effectiveness assessments.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues and other internal stakeholders to understand data needs and provide analytical support.
- Support the monitoring of HR data to ensure that it is handled in accordance with data governance standards and confidentiality requirements.
- Assist in documenting HR data definitions, metrics, and reporting standards to ensure consistency and transparency in HR reporting.
- Perform other duties and assignments as required to support the work of the Human Resources & Administration Department.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
The YP, HR Data Analyst is expected to actively seek knowledge needed to complete assignments and share knowledge with others, communicating and presenting information in a clear, logical and organised manner.
Ideal candidates must have:
- A Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Economics, or a relevant discipline, and a minimum of 2 years’ relevant professional experience in HR analytics, data analysis, HR operations, or related analytical work. An undergraduate degree in any of these disciplines with an additional two (2) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Master’s degree.
- Relevant internships or graduate research experience may be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with data analysis or visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Basic knowledge of HR information systems (HRIS) and HR metrics.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT
This role is a term-limited position with the successful candidate being contracted under the CDB YP Programme for a non-renewable two-year period commencing July 1, 2026. The YP shall receive a salary of USD60,600 per annum. The benefits package includes life and medical insurances.
