The Digital Impact Manager - Digital Transformation Strategy Coordinator (Dx Coordinator) will coordinate, track, and accelerate delivery of the Digital Transformation Strategy. Providing technical support to transformation owners on planning and implementation. The role ensures coherent governance, streamlined project execution, portfolio visibility, and alignment across divisions, regions, and country offices.  Reporting to the Chief of Operations, the role is responsible for coordinating and driving the implementation of the DX Strategy in alignment with UNICEF’s strategic goals, ensuring coherent execution across all transformation areas. The post supports the development and monitoring of impact metrics aligned with UNICEF’s Integrated Results and Accountability Frameworks, tracks progress, risks, dependencies, KPIs, and orchestrates DX action plans. It also promotes organization-wide ownership of the DX Strategy by engaging divisions, regional and country offices, and enables strong cross‑organizational collaboration. The role also supports clear, consistent articulation of the Digital Transformation Strategy to internal and external stakeholders, translating complex digital and AI‑related concepts into actionable guidance for leadership, divisions, and partners.

The DID Operations Team is responsible for the coordination and monitoring of the implementation of Dx Strategy.  

UNICEF’s Digital Transformation Strategy (DX Strategy) (2026–2030) establishes a multiyear roadmap for transforming how the organization uses digital capabilities to advance its mission for children. The Digital Impact Division (DID) leads this transformation across UNICEF HQ, in active and direct collaboration with Global Programme Division (GPD)/Center of Excellence (COEs), Offices of Emergency Programme (EMOPS),  Division of Global Communication and Advocacy (DGCA), Office of Strategy and Evidence (OSE), Supply Division (SD), Office of Internal Audit and Investigations (OIAI),  Global Shared Services Cetner (GSSC), Private Fundraising and Partnerships( PFP), Regional Offices, and over 130 Country Offices. The Chief of DID Operations acts as the Secretariat for the Dx Board.

The DX Board Secretariat plays a central role in coordinating the implementation of seven Transformation Areas (1. Strategy with organization-wide ownership 2. Strong governance and monitoring 3. Global leadership, local capabilities 4. Future resilient systems and technologies 5. Digital enabling systems strengthening at scale 6. External recognition as a leader in digital for children 7. Minimum requirements:

  • Education: Advanced university degree in Digital Transformation, IT Management, Public Administration, International Development, Business, Social policy, Organizational studies, or related field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in large scale digital transformation, portfolio/program management, PMO governance, or organizational change.
  • Demonstrated experience leading governance, project management, or enterprise level coordination functions preferred level coordination functions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional organizations and teams.
  • Experience designing governance frameworks and complex workflows required.
  • Skills: Digital Transformation, Governance and planning, Change management, Collaboration, Communication.
  • Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required.

Desirables:

  • Language: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership engagement, strategic reporting, or organization-wide change communications in complex international organizations is an asset.
  • Experience in UNICEF, the UN or large international organizations preferred.
  • Data, analytics, and KPI design experience strongly preferred.
