Groups 1 and 2: Output 1 - Interpretation of coca crops according to the methodology for Bolivia using very high-resolution images Application of the UNODC methodology for the identification of coca crops for monitoring in 2025, carrying out the following activities: • Identification of coca crops. • Application of identification criteria. • Use of visual interpretation key criteria. • Application of digitization parameters. • Delineation of coca polygons. • Internal delineation of coca polygons. • Use of visual interpretation inputs for coca crops. • Review and quality control process for the visual interpretation of coca crops. • Consolidation and quantification process for the area of coca crops at the national level. Deliverables • In shapefile format or geographic database, 1.440 hectares of interpreted and processed coca polygons, with quality control and consolidated through quantification within Bolivian territory. • Project by allocation zones in free software in geographic information systems • Progress and goal achievement report. Output 2 - Interpretation of coca crops according to the methodology for Bolivia using very high-resolution images for another 1,440 hectares, with same detail as described in output 1 above. Output 3 - Interpretation of coca crops according to the methodology for Bolivia using very high-resolution images for another 1,440 hectares, with same detail as described in output 1 above. Duties and Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the project coordinator, the Individual Contractor will carry out the following tasks: The scope of the consultancy is defined by two fundamental activities. The first consists of characterizing drug destruction activities based on field data collection and support in the visual interpretation of coca crops in satellite images. Characterization of drug destruction activities The characterization of drug destruction activities consists of completing surveys or forms on the procedure carried out by the Special Force for the Fight against Drug Trafficking and the Public Ministry. Interpretation The visual interpretation of coca crops will be carried out using very high-resolution satellite images and applying the methodology established for monitoring coca crops. All inputs for the visual interpretation process will be provided by the project.

Qualifications/special skills

• High school diploma or equivalent is required • At least 2-year relevant experience in managing Geographic Information Systems and crop monitoring through satellite imagery is required. • Knowledge of QGiS or Arc Gis is desirable.

Languages

English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this position, fluency in Spanish, i.e. oral and written proficiency, is required. Knowledge of English is desirable. Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
