About this position

We are looking for an analytical, collaborative, and strategic Technology and Transformation Department (TTD) Sourcing & Vendor Management Consultant. You will join TTD, within the Enabler Strategic Resource Management team, in the Vendor Management area. This team is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and optimizing interactions with external technology vendors to ensure they deliver value, meet contractual obligations, manage risks, and align business objectives.

As a TTD Sourcing & Vendor Management Consultant, you will help align the TTD sourcing strategy with enterprise procurement and technology objectives. You will collaborate with technology, procurement, and business stakeholders to promote the adoption of TTD sourcing models, evaluate vendors, optimize cost structures (CAPEX/OPEX), and ensure technological investments deliver long-term value, scalability, and risk mitigation.

What you’ll do

  • Define and evaluate build vs. buy vs. outsource strategies to support enterprise technology initiatives.
  • Manage and support multi-vendor sourcing models, including staff augmentation, managed services, and SaaS.
  • Advise on sourcing decisions across applications, infrastructure, cloud, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct market analysis, vendor benchmarking, and partner evaluations to identify best-fit vendors.
  • Drive vendor rationalization and develop long-term strategic technology partnerships.
  • Identify and deliver cost optimization and demand management opportunities across technology spend.
  • Ensure strong vendor governance, including contracts, SLAs, KPIs, compliance, and third-party risk management.
  • Align technology delivery teams, procurement, finance, and business stakeholders around sourcing outcomes.
  • Apply strong financial and analytical skills to evaluate CAPEX/OPEX, ROI, and TCO for sourcing decisions.
  • Manage sourcing initiatives and vendor transitions within Agile or hybrid delivery environments.

What you'll need

•    Education: Master’s degree Information Technology / Computer Science, Business Administration, Procurement or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role  

•    Experience: At least 5 years of progressive experience in Vendor Management, IT Sourcing, procurement.  

•    Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.

Additional Education/Experience: 1) Proficiency in AI and generative AI technologies, along with their potential applications; and 2) Broad understanding of ethical considerations and the responsible use of AI.

Type of contract and duration

-National Consultant (Local Remote Modality), 12 months (up to 48 months).100% remotely from place of residence of selected candidate and services are expected to be provided from a country where the IDB Group has offices.
