CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Business Intelligence Specialist with Experience in Dynamics 365 for leveraging expertise in Business Intelligence (BI) and a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to enhance CIMMYT organizational data-driven decision-making capabilities.
The position will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, State of Mexico, near Mexico City.
Specific duties:
- BI Integration with Dynamics 365: Lead the integration of Business Intelligence tools and practices into Microsoft Dynamics 365 to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Report Development: Develop and implement robust and user-friendly reports using BI tools, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and user requirements.
- Data Visualization: Utilize advanced data visualization techniques to present complex information in an easily understandable format for stakeholders.
- Customization and Configuration: Customize and configure Dynamics 365 modules to optimize data collection and reporting processes.
- Data Modeling: Design and implement effective data models within Dynamics 365 to facilitate accurate and insightful reporting.
- Performance Optimization: Collaborate with KMIT teams to optimize Dynamics 365 performance for efficient data extraction and analysis.
- User Training: Provide training to end-users on BI tools, report usage, and Dynamics 365 features to enhance data literacy across the organization.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay well-informed of the latest BI and Dynamics 365 developments, proposing and implementing continuous improvements to optimize reporting functionalities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and other departments, to understand reporting requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- BYOD Functionality: Ensure BYOD functionality and data accuracy within the Dynamics 365 environment.
- Data Entity Activation: Activate necessary data entities within Dynamics 365.
- Monitoring and Resolution: Monitor BYOD to Data Warehouse (DW) connections and promptly resolve any errors or issues.
- Report Designs: Make corrections or modifications to report designs as needed.
- User Support: Assist in running reports, answering inquiries, and managing report access.
- The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in Degree in information technology, computer science, artificial intelligence, or a related field
- The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in similar roles.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing BI solutions, particularly within the Dynamics 365 environment.
- The candidate must exhibit extensive knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 and its various modules.
- Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The candidate must exhibit a sense of urgency, appropriate handling of confidential information and commitment to responsibilities and deadlines.
- Intermediate level of English language (English test will be administered; candidate must score a minimum of B1 as per CEFR).
