Overview of position

Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organization in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non- governmental partners.  IOM is dedicated to promoting humane and orderly migration for the benefit of all. It does so by providing services and advice to governments and migrants.

Under the overall supervision of the Protection Coordinator, the direct supervision of the M&E & Reporting Assistant and in close coordination with other colleagues, the successful candidate will complete all data related assigned tasks. 

Role objectives
  1. Assist the monitoring, evaluation and reporting assistant in providing (M&E) support by drafting reports, presentations, data analysis tasks.

  2. Check, verify the source documents and reports with support from relevant colleagues to ensure receiving of all reporting sources on monthly basis.

  3.  Assist the monitoring, evaluation and reporting assistant in keeping the matrix of results and progress of the Program's indicators updated and organized.

  4. Utilize data management software to compile, analyse, and interpret data for insightful reports and effective monitoring.

  5. Develop and implement efficient reporting systems to track, and report on all protection unit activities.

  6.  Perform regular follow-up with teams on internal and external referrals, ensuring accurate data collection through review and validation processes.

  7. Support the team in the development of MS Power BI reports and dashboards for use of global, regional, country, and other stakeholders to monitor data quality and validation issues and to report protection indicators, measures, and statistics.

  8.  Contribute to the analysis and reporting of the progress of the Program, as well as the identification of good practices and lessons learned.

  9. Maintain and monitor the e-filling of financial and administrative documentations relevant to project in the internal SharePoint.

  10. Assist in the development of effective monitoring mechanisms and tools to facilitate analysis, oversight, accountability and senior management decision making.

  11. Support the internal and/or external evaluations of the Program.

  12.   Carry out administrative tasks as assigned.

Further information
                    • Minimum of 2 years  professional experience in Reporting, Information Management  and M&E.
                    • Effective organizational skills and ability to establish priorities and plans, ability to work under pressure and cope with deadlines;
                    • Demonstrated problem solving attitude and skills;
                    • Good written and spoken communications skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
                    • Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and spoken, knowledge of French is considered an advantage;
                    • Good knowledge of MS Office applications .e.g. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc
