Join Street Child as Fundraising Officer Switzerland!

Street Child Switzerland (SCCH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality education, child protection, and sustainable livelihoods to the most disadvantaged children across some of the world’s poorest and most crisis-affected regions. SCCH is part of the global Street Child network, which includes 8 European partner organizations and supports projects in over 30 countries across Africa and Asia.

Street Child Switzerland is looking for a passionate professional to support it’s fundraising efforts in the Swiss market. As our Fundraising Officer, you will be contributing and supporting the team in Switzerland to fundraise and reach its annual target. Additionally, you will also be part of a global fundraising team, and you will work closely with our European fundraising teams based in Barcelona and London. This is an onsite position based in Barcelona, we expect candidates to already be based in Barcelona or have availability to move to Barcelona.

Key Responsibilities:

Fundraising Support (80%)

  • Contribute to SCCH fundraising by writing grant proposals for foundations, trusts, corporates, and public funders
  • Assist the Country Manager in managing donor relationships, including preparing project reports and representing SCCH when needed.
  • Assist in corporate fundraising by researching new opportunities and establishing strategic partnerships.
  • Help pursue unrestricted funding opportunities (e.g. Sierra Leone Marathon, recurring donor campaigns)
  • Contribute to the management of a small team of interns and volunteers.

Communications & Other (20%)

  • Collaborate with the global communications team to draft and publish content for the SCCH website, social media, and annual report, supported by interns and volunteers.
  • Engage the community and support SCCH volunteers and supporters.
  • Assist with Swiss administrative tasks, CRM (Salesforce), finances, or legal topics.
  • Your profile:
  • Passionate about Street Child’s mission and values.
  • You have a university degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication in German and English. French proficiency is a plus.
  • You bring creativity, initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility, and you can work independently in an international environment while also being a supportive team player.

Our offer:

  • Working in a truly international environment and being part of the growing Street Child family
  • Flexible working hours and hybrid work setup, with the expectation to work onsite 75% of the time per week
  • Full-time employment, though we are willing to discuss other arrangements, in the SC Europe HQ, in the heart of Barcelona
  • Salary range (depending on experience): 25k-30k gross per annum
