The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. To learn more please visit about GGGI web page. 

The Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) is a global network of experts and organizations dedicated to providing the policy, business and finance communities with knowledge, guidance, data and tools to transition to an inclusive green economy. A leading engine for inter-institutional collaboration, GGKP establishes and facilitates expert groups to assess the state of knowledge on specific green economy themes, identify gaps and catalyze coordinated responses. The GGKP is co-hosted by GGGI in partnership with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). The Steering committee of GGKP are the representatives of 5 organizations: GGGI, UNEP, OECD, UNIDO, and the World Bank. The GGKP is a global network of over 90 international organizations, research institutes and non-governmental organizations.

 

PURPOSE

The Senior Officer will lead the management and growth of the GGKP platform within the GGKP Secretariat, deployed by GGGI. Working collaboratively with GGKP and GGGI teams, the Senior Officer will curate and produce content for the platform, driving global and regional knowledge-sharing initiatives. They will enable GGGI’s country teams and stakeholders to access and utilize GGKP’s resources, fostering international collaboration and best practices. Additionally, they will evaluate and refine GGGI’s knowledge products to maximize their impact on sustainable green growth solutions.

 

ENGAGEMENT

  • Collaborate with the Head of the GGKP Secretariat, GGKP, and GGGI teams to gather, curate, and produce content for the platform.
  • Partner with GGGI experts in fields such as Renewable Energy, Green Buildings, Sustainable Transport, Circular Economy, Green Investment, Climate Smart Agriculture, and Carbon Pricing to support knowledge sharing.
  • Engage with external GGKP partners to generate, gather, and exchange key green growth knowledge.
  • Work with teams to develop outreach campaigns using GGKP resources to amplify the organization's work.

 

DELIVERY 

Knowledge Generation & Management: 

  • Identify opportunities to improve knowledge sharing through innovative technologies like AI. 

  • Collect user feedback, monitor online performance, and collaborate with developers to optimize the GGKP platform. 

  • Manage the preparation and production of GGKP reports, including impact assessments and the annual report. 

 

Partnership Development & Resource Mobilization: 

  • Maintain active communication with GGKP partners, ensuring their visibility and engagement on the platform. 

  • Act as the primary liaison with affiliated knowledge management portals and explore new partnership opportunities. 

  • Support GGKP’s fundraising efforts and develop funding proposals with partners and GGGI teams. 

 

Outreach & Communications: 

  • Lead GGKP’s outreach activities, including workshops and webinars. 

  • Oversee communications staff and consultants, ensuring timely delivery of newsletters, social media content, and the communications calendar. 

  • Represent GGKP at external events and respond to inquiries from constituents. 

 

REQUIREMENTS  

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Master’s degree in a relevant subject (international relations, economics, public policy, knowledge management, communications). 

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in knowledge management, communications, partnership engagement, or policy work. 

  • Fluency in English required; additional languages are an advantage. 

 

FUNCTIONAL  

  • Strong technical expertise in green growth sectors, with proven experience in knowledge development, management, and sharing. 

  • Ability to synthesize key messages from diverse knowledge products and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, government partners, and international stakeholders. 

  • Experience in analytical research relevant to green growth is preferred. 

  • Demonstrated success in building collaborative relationships across public and private sectors, academia, and other partners; an established network in green growth is preferred. 

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills. 

  • Experience organizing international workshops and conferences; and 

  • Proven ability to work in a virtual team across multiple locations preferred.
