This job is found in field office. Job holders typically report to a Programme Policy Officer and overall supervision Head of Field Office. The two Progamme Associates (PAs) SC-6 will be stationed at Oudomxay under direct supervision of Programme Policy Officer (PPO) in the Field Office.

JOB PURPOSE
The two Programme Associates SC-6 will support the promotion of Home-Grown School feeding (HGSF) activities and will be the focal point for coordinating WFP supports for promoting small holder agriculture and link with School Lunch Programme.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)
Coordinate and monitor the implementation of WFP supported programme at the local level, in close collaboration with the implementing partners and communities.
Support and liaise with District authorities of Education, Health, Agriculture, and other related Departments for the smooth implementation of WFP-supported activities.
Support implementation of WFP assisted home grown school feeding programme in relevant districts by mobilizing small holder farmers to increase their agriculture production and link them with Village Education Development Committee (VEDC) to ensure increased community contribution for school lunch programme (SLP).
Works closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and schools, to coordinate the implementation of the HGSF program.
Organize farmer trainings with support from district agriculture and education authorities.
Support beneficiary farmer selection and monitor non-food item distribution and usage among beneficiaries.
Support the Monitoring & Evaluation focal point person and unit in collecting and uploading data.
Oversee the execution of program activities, ensuring adherence to guidelines and standards.
Conduct monthly monitoring visits to schools and communities, which are essential to assess the progress of the programme and address any challenges.
Ensure the work aligns with team or organizational objectives.
Prepare advance request for workshop, training, meeting, and field activities that will be organized in the district/village/school.
Manage program finances, tracking expenditures, and ensuring cost-effectiveness are part of their responsibilities.
Regularly reporting on program activities, achievements, and challenges PPO, and head of field office.
Work and exchange information with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation, and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
Closely work with Provincial and District Agriculture authorities and providing them required technical support and facilities for field level monitoring of HGSF activities.
Perform other duties as required.
STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Completion of secondary school education, and acquired a degree in agriculture, nutrition, public health, social sciences is desirable.
DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE
Experience:
At least six (6) years relevant working experience in the sectors of community development, agriculture support, rural development, school feeding programme or equivalent is preferable.
Experience working with technical team and contributed to programme implementation.
Desirable Knowledge and Skills:
Excellent word processing skills and excel skills;
Experience working in difficult locations with people of different backgrounds.
Ability to speak ethnic group language(s) is an asset;
Knowledge of database and data analysis is an asset.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Lao
