Functional Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Procurement Senior Manager, Supply Chain Management Senior Assistant will be responsible for the following main duties:

Coordinate with the Supply Chain Management Senior Associate and implement a logistical plan to manage a smooth Customs process and delivery for all imported goods to Uzbekistan, or domestic shipments, in coordination with the procurement team.

Support MoH/PMU with customs clearance issues, and releases of UNOPS imported supplies, materials, and equipment.

Liaise with relevant governmental authorities and stakeholders on all logistics needs to ensure smooth delivery of UNOPS shipments.

Coordinate with Supply Chain Management Senior Associate for all arriving shipments and ensure that all necessary documents are timely approved for customs clearance.

Coordinate with customs clearance agents to ensure safe and fast release and collection of goods and storage in line with INCOTERMS set in the contracts.

Check and ensure the correctness of shipping documents received from UNOPS suppliers in compliance with UNOPS and government requirements.

Process entry and exit clearances for shipments arriving and/or being sent to various sectors across Uzbekistan.

Ensure all stored assets are securely kept, protected from elements, well-organized, and properly accounted for.

Prepare and submit logistical reports as requested by the supervisor.

Any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Education/Experience/Language requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent (secondary education)l is required.

A first University Degree (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Public Administration, Logistics, or equivalent disciplines is desirable.
b. Work experience

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in logistic support services in national or international public or corporate organisations.

Proficiency in computers and office software packages and experience in handling web-based management systems is required.

Relevant experience working with the Uzbekistan Customs Authority is desirable
-
Some experience in a Customs Broker Company is desirable.
c. Languages
-
Intermediate level of English is required.

Fluency in either Uzbek or Russian is required. Fluency in both is an asset.
