Our team and mission
This position is based at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) - Noordwijk, Netherlands
Under the direct authority of the Directorate of Science, the Head of the Science Engagement and Oversight Office is responsible for overseeing the scientific content of the Programme, interfacing with the scientific community and providing scientific expertise to studies, projects and missions, also in other Directorates as needed.

Field(s) of activity for the internship
Topic of the internship: Science Communication for the Euclid mission
You would support the Euclid Project Scientist and coordinate with the ESA Science Communication team. Objectives include communicating about Euclid via social media to the general public and the astrophysical community. Tasks will include coverage of the Euclid Q1 data release planned for March 2025, as well as other scientific highlights that will be available during the 6 months of the internship.

Education
You must be a university student, preferably in your final or second-to-last year of a university course at Master’s level and you need to remain enrolled at your University for the entire duration of the internship.
Additional requirements
The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.
Additional Requirements:
- Experience in science communication, preferably with a background in science/physics;
- Experience in managing one or more professional social media accounts is preferred.
