This position is based at the ESA HQ - Paris, France

 

At ESA's Future Space Transportation Preparation department, the Future Launchers Preparatory Programme (FLPP), covers technology maturation, commercialisation and ecosystem maturation for future European Space Transportation solutions. 

 

In the Space Transportation beyond LEO team (STS-FL) specifically, you would be working multilaterally on emerging topics such as In-Space Transportation (e.g. Space Logistics, In-Space Transportation Vehicles (ISTVs), etc.), orbital re-filling, sustainability for Space Transportation (e.g. Lifecycle Assessment), Nuclear Propulsion, software-centred technologies (e.g. AI, digitalisation, digital twins, etc.) amongst other topics.

You will work on:

  • Support for Council Ministerial 25 (CM25) roadshow with regards to website development (outsourced), 3D modelling and videos;
  • Support with generation of marketing material (e.g. leveraging 3D rendering, video editing, Blender animation) for programmes, activities;
  • Support for event organisation: Users’ Club, HUB sessions, outreach events, award ceremonies, standardization workshops;
  • Occasionally, supporting with scouting of key technology trends impacting future space transportation systems.

Education

You must be a university student, preferably in your final or second-to-last year of a university course at Master’s level and you need to remain enrolled at your University for the entire duration of the internship.

Additional requirements

The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these is required. Knowledge of another Member State language would be an asset.

 

Knowledge, experience and/or skills with 3D rendering, video editing, and Blender animation is an asset.
