The Green Climate Fund ( “GCF” or “the Fund”) is a multilateral fund created to make a significant and ambitious contribution to the global efforts towards combatting climate change. The Fund contributes to the achievement of the ultimate objective of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). In the context of sustainable development, the Fund promotes the paradigm shift towards low-emission and climate-resilient development pathways by providing support to developing countries to limit or reduce their greenhouse gas emissions and to adapt to the impacts of climate change, considering the needs of those developing countries particularly vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change.
The Fund is governed by a Board, composed of an equal number of members from developed and developing countries and is operated by an independent Secretariat headed by an Executive Director.
The Fund seeks to engage the Data Migration Consultant to join its team at headquarters in Songdo, Republic of Korea, for six months. The assignment is for an intial 120 days over a six-month period.
Roles and Responsibilities:
By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Consultant will play a critical role in ensuring the successful deployment and adoption of Oracle HCM modules within the organization, contributing to enhanced HR operations and overall business efficiency.
- Analyze existing SAP HCM data and map it to Oracle Cloud HCM fields.
- Perform migration process, including field mappings, APIs, transformation rules, and validation scripts.
- Ensure that all data formats, field structures, and custom fields from SAP are correctly migrated to Oracle Cloud.
- Ensure compliance with data standards, validation, and integrity throughout the migration process.
- Assist in the integration of Oracle Cloud with other third-party modules and ensure accurate data exchange.
- Collaborate with Oracle Cloud implementation partners to resolve any data-related technical issues during migration.
- Perform extensive data validation and testing to ensure successful migration.
- Troubleshoot any migration-related issues, offering immediate and effective solutions.
- Provide a post-migration report, highlighting any discrepancies and their resolutions.
- Provide necessary knowledge transfer and training to ensure understanding of the migrated data structure in Oracle Cloud.
- Post-migration support to address any lingering data-related concerns.
Deliverables:
- Completed data migration between SAP and Oracle Cloud HCM.
- Testing and validation reports ensuring data integrity post-migration.
- Final migration report with documented resolution of issues.
- Provide ad-hoc technical support for any other technical requirements or issues related to the project.
Required experience and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in data validation, data cleansing, and transformation methodologies.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python, SQL, or PowerShell to automate data migration tasks and validations.
- Strong understanding of APIs for data extraction and integration between systems.
- Strong knowledge of both SAP and Oracle Cloud data structures, field mappings, and workflows is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills to understand data discrepancies, identify challenges in the migration process, and resolve them efficiently.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners to ensure a seamless migration.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
