ANTECEDENTES Y PROPÓSITO DEL CARGO
El Programa Mundial de Alimentos (WFP, por sus siglas en inglés) es la organización humanitaria líder que salva vidas y cambia vidas, brindando asistencia alimentaria en emergencias y trabajando con las comunidades para mejorar la nutrición y crear resiliencia, asistiendo cada año a 97 millones de personas en 88 países. En Venezuela WFP brinda asistencia alimentaria a aproximadamente 200,000 personas a través de un programa de comidas escolares, con la meta de alcanzar a 1.5 millones de personas en zonas de mayor incidencia de inseguridad alimentaria para finales de 2024.
WFP Venezuela tiene presencia operativa en ocho estados, con posibilidad de ampliación. Bajo la supervisión y orientación del Coordinador de la Oficina en Terreno, el Asistente de Programas estará a cargo de apoyar la gestión y coordinación de operaciones del programa en terreno.
RESPONSABILIDADES
El titular del cargo tendrá las siguientes responsabilidades:
Proveer funciones de apoyo para la gestión de proyectos y apoyo general de oficina en conformidad con los objetivos establecidos y las políticas y procedimientos de WFP.
Apoyar las actividades relacionadas a planes y reportes de distribución de alimentos, en coordinación con los socios implementadores y el equipo técnico de operaciones en Caracas.
Realizar una labor minuciosa y oportuna de registro de datos en los sistemas corporativos de WFP y reportes solicitados, aplicando las normas y directrices institucionales.
Proveer orientaciones y soporte constante a los socios implementadores para garantizar la implementación eficaz de las diferentes actividades del programa en conformidad con el acuerdo de asociación WFP-ONG.
Fungir como Punto Focal de Comunicación con Comunidades de la Oficina en Terreno para garantizar la diseminación oportuna de los mensajes del programa al público meta.
En el marco de su esfera específica de responsabilidad, recopilar datos y prestar apoyo al análisis y la elaboración de informes (p. ej., sobre las necesidades de asistencia alimentaria, la utilización de recursos, la marcha de los programas o las realizaciones) con el fin de sostener la toma de decisiones operacionales.
Efectuar otras actividades requeridas a solicitud del supervisor y que estén en línea con la finalidad del cargo.
REQUISITOS MÍNIMOS REQUERIDOS
Educación: Título universitario en desarrollo/gestión de proyectos, ciencias sociales o áreas afines.
Experiencia: Mínimo 5 años de experiencia laboral en el sector público o privado – mínimo 1 año en el sector humanitario/desarrollo.
Competencias: Manejo de las herramientas básicas de Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint y Excel).
Idiomas: Dominio, hablado y escrito, del español. Deseable, nivel intermedio del inglés.
