Context

UNFPA Niger plays a pivotal role in supporting the health, well-being, and empowerment of women and young people, focusing on sexual and reproductive health, gender based violence, and youth development. The office seeks to strengthen communication efforts
to increase donor visibility, showcase program results, and maintain strong partnerships with donors. In this context, a UN Volunteer in Communication is being recruited to ensure that the contributions of funding partners are effectively highlighted in communication materials and media engagements. The role will support the implementation of communication strategies, focusing on donor recognition and engagement.

Task description

The UNV will work under the direct supervision of the organization’s Communication Officer.
They will also closely collaborate with the Partnership and Resource mobilization specialist.

 Enhance the visibility of donor contributions to UNFPA Niger’s projects and initiative.
 Support the development of targeted communication materials, highlighting key achievements and success stories from donor-supported projects.
 Strengthen digital presence, and public engagement around donor-funded activities.
 Contribute to the overall communication strategy of UNFPA Niger, ensuring alignment with program goals and UNFPA’s branding and messaging guidelines.
Increased visibility of donors in UNFPA Niger’s communication channels (social media, press releases, reports, etc.).
 Quality multimedia content produced and disseminated, showcasing the impact of donor-funded initiatives.
 Regular updates on donor-funded projects published on social media and the UNFPA Niger website.
 Timely and comprehensive communication reports for donors.

The UNV must submit a detailed monthly report outlining the activities carried out, the results achieved, and the challenges encountered. Regular follow-up meetings will be organized to discuss progress and adjust strategies as necessary. A final report will be required at the end of the mission, summarizing all the work completed and the results achieve.
