Operation Blessing: Hunger Strike Force – Chesapeake, VA
Operation Blessing (OB) is dedicated to demonstrating God’s love by alleviating human suffering in the United States and around the world. OB is seeking an On-Call Truck Driver to work with Hunger Strike Force to transport product to and from assigned local pick-up and delivery locations.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Ability to perform FMCSA compliant vehicle inspections and accurately complete DVIRs
- Ability to handle stress, and meet deadlines and time demands
- Positive communication skills to be used with OB donors, ministries and dispatch
- Ability to sit for long periods of time; ability to stand, walk and lift 50+ pounds
- Prefer Class “A” or Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License, but not required
- Able to safely navigate roads in a 26-foot box truck
- Prefer 2 years local driving experience or eligible military experience
- No DMV chargeable offenses for most recent 3-years prior to employment at OB
