Job Overview/Summary:

The Partnership and Capacity Building Finance Officer is a key position supporting the partnership component in Finance sub-unit. With the overall objective of achieving high quality and compliant programming, the main goal of this position is to support partner capacity building initiatives for finance staff. As guided by the Partnership Finance Manager, she/he will be responsible for planning, budgeting and successfully delivering the capacity building plans for partners and Finance team. The role has no supervisory responsibilities but collaborates with other Finance staff.

Specifically, the Partnership and Capacity Building Finance Officer will be responsible for:

-Work closely with Partnership team within Finance matter, maintain close relationships with partners, conduct regular meetings and participate in monitoring visits, participate in first assessment of partners:

-Conduct a capacity needs assessment of partners and communicate findings to the supervisor for action.

-Based on findings from the capacity needs assessment, participate in developing partners’ capacity development plan and ensure its timely implementation.

-Identifyfinance training needs of partners on finance reporting and other finance related matters, plan and organize capacity development events.

-Identifytraining needs of Partnership team on finance related matters, plan and organize capacity development events.

-Work closely with Partnership Finance officer and Partners finance staff to design and develop convenient forms and templates on accounting and reporting, provide training on using Excel advanced approaches for accounting and reporting purposes for partners finance staff and Partnership finance staff

-Participate in Training of Trainers sessions to enable she/he roll-out of these trainings to partners or other staff on Partnership finance relate matters.

-Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit, oversight and guidance to staff enabling successful performance of duties.

Requirements:

-Language: fluent in Ukrainian. Verbal and writing skills in English intermediate.

-Degree in Finance and accounting, related field is desirable and/or at least three year of experience with NGOs

-Experience facilitating group activities, trainings and workshops and mentoring others

-Excellent communication skills

-Demonstrated understanding of and ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients/beneficiaries

-Positive and professional attitude, including ability to lead and work well in a team setting

-High degree of flexibility and strong ability to organize work, meet deadlines, maintain composure, prioritize work under pressure, coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail

-Computer literate, including MS PowerPoint and Excel (advanced).
