Job overview/resume:

The Finance Assistant of the Partnership Development Department is a position that supports the program for Ukraine in the Partnership Department. In view of the overall goal of achieving high quality implementation of program activities, the main objective of this position is to ensure the effective review of financial reports and documentation of partners, as well as to provide support to financial staff of partners. The Partnership Finance Assistant will assist in the preparation of internal reports and IRC analysis, payment requests and monitoring of partner financial and accounting systems. The position is located in Dnipro or Kyiv, Ukraine.

Responsibilities:

Financial Assistant of the Partnership Department:

1. Assists in making payments to partners based on approved documents and in accordance with authority.

2. Checks financial statements and supporting documents before payment for compliance with partnership agreements, donor rules, and IRC policies.

3. Maintains accounting and file storage related to all hard and electronic copies of documents, maintains financial records and provides them to management for internal and external audit and review.

4. Ensures compliance with all operations of IRC accounting policies, donor restrictions, and generally accepted accounting principles.

5. Maintains the confidentiality of all financial and other work-related information.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from a recognized college/university.

2. Minimum of three years of experience in accounting and/or finance.

3. Computer proficiency with significant Excel experience.

4. Intermediate level of written and spoken English.

5. Exceptional interpersonal communication skills. Tact, patience, diplomacy.
