Work Location
This internship is designed to be on-site and the intern will be working full-time. The duration and modality can be adjusted on request of the successful candidate with approval of the supervisor.
Expected duration
3 moths with possibility to extend for 3 months
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the overall guidance of the Chief of ACPC, and directly reporting to the Senior Environmental Affairs Officer, specific assignments may include but not limited to: • Provide support in research, analyses and studies conducted within ACPC’s portfolios, related to current projects and new emerging initiatives; • Provide operational support to ACPC activities, including logistic and administrative support to meetings, conferences, trainings, and other events; • Support the ACPC team with the drafting and editing of reports, presentations, official communications, • Provide support to communication activities, related to current projects and new emerging initiatives; •Attend conferences and events, help with their preparation, ensure invitations sending, logistical organisation, etc; • Assist the programme team in coordinating with partners and stakeholders; • Perform other duties, as required.
Qualifications/special skills
• Applicants must have recently graduated from a Batchelor’s, Master’s or PhD programme or equivalent, or currently enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme in relevant subject areas (such as a master’s programme, or higher in Environmental Studies, Development Studies, International Affairs, Political and Social Sciences, Public Administration, Economics, Laws or other related field). New graduate
Languages
English and French are the working language of the United Nations Secretariat. Fluency in English or French with fluency in speaking, reading and writing. Knowledge of the other is an asset.
