Since September 2017, Malteser International is operational in Bangladesh through local partner organizations. One program pillar is coordinated from Cox’s Bazar targeting health and nutrition support to Rohingya refugees living in refugee camps and supporting the host communities in coping with the disruptive environment created by the influx of refugees. Another program pillar is a localization program with a focus on strengthening capacities of local actors in humanitarian response, preparedness, coordination, and advocacy with partners working in different parts of the country. The third pillar is a development project for resilience strengthening of vulnerable population in North, West and East Bangladesh through a network approach of 4 partner organizations.

For its Cox’s Bazar program which is currently being implemented by two local partners, Malteser International is looking for a skilled and passionate Partner Project Coordinator.

As a Partner Project Coordinator, you will be responsible to support and guide partner organizations in line with donor and MI regulations and guidelines, monitor project implementation and represent MI in coordination with the Country Representative.

Your responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and managerial guidance and support to the partner organizations to ensure successful project implementation, including project cycle management, ensuring quality, impact, relevance, efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and donor and MI regulations and guidelines. 
  • Continue to foster and inspire respectful, trustful, and collaborative partnerships between MI and partner organizations.
  • Represent MI and build and maintain good relations, communications and coordination with local communities, local and national authorities, sector coordinators, other national and international organizations and UN agencies in the target area in close collaboration with the partner organizations and the Country Representative.

Your profile:

  • Bangladeshi national with fluency in English and Bangla in speaking and writing, Rohingya dialect will be an additional asset
  • Academic degree in development, business administration or related field 
  • Minimum 12 years of professional experience in humanitarian assistance and/or development projects/ programs, experience in health programs and in GFFO-funded projects will be an additional asset 
  • Strong project cycle management skills and experience with managing basic administrative, financial and logistics procedures according to international donor standard
  • Experience in leading a team, and in working with and in mentoring/ guiding of partner organizations
  • Experience in the usage of computers and MS office packages (word, excel, outlook, power point, teams etc.) and other computerized applications
  • Physical and mental strength for frequent traveling
