SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGES GHANA is a child welfare organization that provides a stable Family-Like Care (FLC) for children in need. We also provide social services for families at risk through our Family Strengthening Projects. Currently, we operate in four locations; Tema, Asiakwa, Kumasi, Tamale with the National Office in Accra. Applications are invited from suitably qualified and dynamic persons for appointment as:

 

Internal Auditor

Duty Post: Accra

The successful applicant will be required to set up and oversee audit & compliance function at the National Office. The person will formulate policies and procedures for audit, develop annual audit plans, carry out risk–based audit of control processes at National Office and field offices/locations, reporting on findings of reviews, making recommendations to remedy weaknesses in the systems and procedures reviewed, and support management incompliance and implementation, The incumbent will act as the compliance Officer.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Be a partly qualified Chartered Accountant with ICA Ghana, ACCA or CIMA. A 2nd degree in Finance or Accounting is an added advantage.
  • Have a minimum of five (5) years post qualification relevant work experience in Finance, Accounting with some relevant experience in Auditing.
  • Have proven knowledge in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Be a motivated self-starter with initiative, flexibility and enthusiasm and with highest level of integrity in dealing with co-workers
  • Possess good organizational and time management skills and ability to ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures/
  • Possess positive and professional approach. Highly organized, able to work independently, use initiative, and keep commitments.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Child Rights and Child Safeguarding Practices
