About the role

The Revenue Product team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to grow and optimize the member donation funnel. You will own the roadmap for driving incremental revenue growth in this role, leveraging Avaaz’s global reach and impact as well as experimenting on new monetization opportunities. 

The Revenue Product team is fundamental to the success of Avaaz - driving initiatives that impact new member conversion, engagement, and revenue. This role will drive new product features as well as optimize existing user flows in collaboration with engineering, design, finance, campaigns, and other stakeholder teams across Avaaz.

In this role, you will: 

  • Guide the product vision, roadmap, and processes for features and tools in order to grow our revenue funnels at Avaaz, including optimizing our current donation-based model and funnels.  
  • Innovate on our current fundraising model by experimenting and delivering new impactful experiences through the combination of a deep understanding of our impact model, creative product strategy, and technical acumen.
  • Creating product roadmaps and release plans and working with a team of engineers, designers, and other stakeholders to drive clear revenue impact.  
  • Build empathy and understanding of personas and use-cases across our global memberships, and think user-first.

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments, excited about finding solutions to complex problems, and then building them
  • Strong and consistent history of building and shipping great user-facing consumer experiences, including responsibilities driving prioritization, trade-offs, and timelines
  • Significant practical experience focused on delivering impactful user growth products
  • Experience defining and utilizing metrics, OKRs, and other prioritization frameworks to make product and strategic decisions based on A/B testing and qualitative feedback
  • A passion to analyze and synthesize data and proven ability to prioritize using a combination of data and product intuition 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect a strategy to a set of customer problems to a group of business priorities and metrics to features in a logical chain
  • Demonstrated technical understanding of platforms, APIs, and system architectures, and effectiveness working with engineers.
  • Excellent communication skills to drive cross-team collaboration with stakeholders and build consensus with Avaaz’s leadership team

  • Proven track record of impact through solving growth problems.
  • Experience building x-functional / operational teams to drive revenue.
  • Experience working on international growth or monetization problems.

Location  

Avaaz is a virtual organization, with most of our work done over email, Gdocs, telephone, and Slack. Our staff are based in cities all over the world. For this position, the candidate would ideally be based in the EMEA or Americas time zones, although other locations may be considered.

Compensation and Benefits  

Salary varies with location and experience and is highly competitive with leading international nongovernmental organizations. The full-package salary for this position ranges from $115,250 - 163,693 USD. Candidates will be provided with an accurate range in local currency.
