What we are looking for

NRC is looking for a Partnership Manager to join the Iran mission. The role holder will manage the coordination and grant administration of the European Commission Department for International Partnerships funded project with NRC as Grant Holder, providing technical support to partners and facilitating grant management, donor liaison, intra-partner engagement, and information sharing. He/she will provide oversight of the Consortium Coordination Unit, while being the liaison between the Steering Committee and the members of the consortium.

What you will do

  • Grant management and administration facilitation.
  • Steering Committee and Technical Working Group meetings facilitation.
  • Consortium representation in relevant fora and working groups.
  • Consortium Coordination Unit management.
  • Project management (activities, budgets, project documentation, work plans, reporting) in line with proposals, strategies, and donor requirements.
  • Capacity building and transfer of skills for staff.
  • Stakeholder liaison and collaboration.

What you will bring

  • Grants management and programmatic implementation experience in a humanitarian/recovery context.
  • Consortium/partnership management track record.
  • Consortium sector technical background and expertise (education, legal assistance, health and/or livelihoods).
  • Protection concepts mainstreaming exposure within a humanitarian operation.
  • Internal organisational processes facilitation and leadership experience.
  • South Asia context and humanitarian community response experience or knowledge.
  • Complex, and volatile context exposure.
  • English fluency, both written and verbal.

 

What makes this position attractive?

  • NRC will be the consortium lead and grant holder of a significant multi-partner consortium grant, funded by the European Commission Department for International Partnerships, that focuses on Education, Livelihood, Health and Protection. Advocacy activities are also planned. 
  • NRC started operations in Iran in 2012, and currently delivers humanitarian assistance in the sectors of Education, Food Security and Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Shelter and Settlements, as well as Information, Counselling and Legal Assistance.

  • NRC contributes to the development of policy, aiming to protect the rights of the displaced and calls for increased humanitarian funding and engagement on processes that will generate structural changes in protection and assistance in the region.
  • NRC co-leads several technical inter-agency working groups and provides capacity building to humanitarian partners in country. To complement  programs, NRC Iran established an advocacy unit to develop joint messages and initiatives amongst INGOs to improve rights of the displaced.

What we offer

  • Tehran, Iran duty station. The successful candidate has the opportunity to work from home/remotely for extended periods of time.
  • 24-month contract duration.
  • 10% travel, approximately.
  • Grade 9 in NRC’s Salary Scale, with accompanying terms and conditions. NRC offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.
