UNICEF Brazil is looking for an experienced professional with a track record in leading Fundraising teams to implement the ambitious Corporate and High Value Partners Fundraising objectives. Your team is responsible for the development of new business partnerships as well as major donors, family foundations, and membership and faith-based organization partnerships. Based in São Paulo, reporting to the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will actively contribute to the strategic and operational strategy and implementation plans to meet or exceed income targets. It will be expected you to manage and cultivate successful partnerships, ensure partnership contracts and implementation are in compliance with UNICEF PFP’s policies and guidance, and ensure UNICEF Consultative Business Council is successfully engaged and contributes to UNICEF’s mission and goals. It will also be an important role to have UNICEF properly represented and have visibility in business community events and networks. How can you make a difference?

Under the supervision of the Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for designing the New Businesses, Family Foundations, Major Donors, Membership and Faith Based Organizations Fundraising strategy and guide its implementation, as well as maximizing income from the private sector for UNICEF. This will be done by building strong strategic partnerships and delivering ever increasing resources to Country Office’s programs, with a strong focus on maximizing the impact for children through long term partnerships. You will lead the New Businesses, Major Donors, Membership and Faith Based Organizations team of fundraisers and work closely together with internal and external partners. This job function will also support the Chief Resource Mobilization and Partnerships in the coordination of the Consultative Business Council, as well as in positioning UNICEF in the existing related private sector networks. This includes:

1. In close collaboration and coordination with LACRO and HQ RM&P, develop the New Businesses, Family Foundations, Major Donors, Membership and Faith Based Organizations strategy with the Corporate Partnerships Manager, translating it into a concrete plan, with effective development and management of implementation plans, ensuring the fulfillment of the defined KPIs and income goals.

2. Oversee new business pipeline development and ensure efficient pipeline management. Identifies and, where appropriate, lead new business development, the approaching strategy, the proposal development, negotiations, global coordination, pitches and closing.

3. Ensure the proper transfer of the alliance to the Key Account Management team, providing full information and negotiations contacts.

4. Manage, lead and inspire direct supervisees and the whole corporate partnerships team and work closely together to achieve or exceed results defined in the agreed Private Sector Plan targets.

5. Represent UNICEF in business community events and networks ensuring UNICEF visibility within the segment and opening opportunities to establish new alliances. Facilitate the organization of thematic roundtables and convening events, with a view to adding UNICEF's voice, expertise and thematic content to the global dialogue on issues affecting children.

6. Ensure effective cross-functional coordination and collaboration with the Individual Giving and Marketing Services Managers, as well as with Operations, Communications, and Programme areas.

7. Liaise with UNICEF’s Fundraising teams to ensure all prospecting and partnership management is conducted in compliance with PFP policies and guidance including legal contracts. Ensure the Corporate Fundraising team is trained and fully complying with PFP policies and guidance in the execution of their responsibilities.

8. Support the Chief Resource Mobilization and Partnerships in the operationalization and further development of the Consultative Business Council, articulating the contacts, approaching new members, engaging and cultivating this network.

9.Work in coordination with the Key account team.

10.Develop collaboration strategies with the Individual Giving team for the achievement of CPTP.

 

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

Education: Advanced University degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Business Administration, Communications, Economics, Fundraising Studies, Marketing or equivalent.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in corporate fundraising is required.
  • Proven experience in successfully negotiating and managing large partnerships and delivering on or exceeding ambitious income targets is needed.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and motivating a team is required.

 Desirable

  • Experience in fundraising in leading global organizations is desirable.

Language: Fluency in English and Portuguese is required. Proficiency in Spanish is an asset.
