CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Genebank curator and passport data enrichment of accession to work on GRP Unit. 

 

The positions will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, near Mexico City. Please note this is a strictly temporary position (6 months).

 

Specific duties:

  • Revise and correct accuracy of passport accession.
  • Search for phenotypic data and scientific publication using accession from the CIMMYT genebank.
  • Revise collection book data, interact with GWP to improve the Passport index on Genesys platform and GRIN global.
  • Support creation and extraction of phenotypic and genotypic data and link to passport information.
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • The selected candidate must have good excel skill
  • The selected candidate must have a good understanding of scientific search, phenotypic and genotypic data files.
  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work independently.
