Mission 1: Support the mission in proposal writing, reporting and proper documentation of program implementation activities

  • Follow-up with program team at the field levels to ensure all program activities are documented properly and shared with coordination team properly.
  • Support the programs by providing the update guideline, support tools.
  • Ensure that all program databases (are updated on monthly basis
  • Analyse the program data, contribute to the correct progress of the programming in line with standard quality and share necessary information with the coordinator.
  • Participate in the analysis of activity reports
  • Contribute to the identification of the intervention areas and needs of interventions
  • Participate in the proposal writing

Mission 2: Support the mission in the definition of a needs-based and locally adapted sectorial strategy and programming

  • Follow-up of the humanitarian situation in the intervention areas
  • Participate in the planning of assessments in the new/existing intervention areas
  • Contribute to the coordination between the different technical department WASH, ERD, Education, Protection and Health.
  • Support logistic if need on pharmacy management, nutritional inputs management.

Mission 3: Support the Coordinator for sound participation in external relation and coordination with respective nutrition stakeholders

  • Represent IRC in different clusters and technical working groups, also all meetings indicated by the coordinator.
  • Participate actively in clusters meetings (nutrition) and provide necessary input to support the partners technically
  • Participate to any other task in relation to the specific programs and representation
  • Coordinate with PND, support liaison officer on ministerial relations.
  • Coordinate with different implementing partners (IP BPHS, DoPH.) at Kabul level and participate in meeting them as requested.

Mission 4: Staff development/capacity building:

  • Enforce use of quality improvement tools to all program staffs through supportive supervisions visits, enforcing and doing competence check to all IRC and government staffs provided with trainings. Proper record should be kept monitoring changes/improvement over time.
  • Provide supportive supervision to supervisees, including development and monitoring of regular work plans.
  • Provide timely and quality performance evaluations.
  • Identify capacity building needs of direct reporters and develop capacity building plans to maximize performance and professional development.
  • Participate in training and mentoring of health and other staff members in response to capacity building needs.
  • Ensure IRC HR policies are always respected.
  • Promote the IRC Way with all supervise

Minimum Qualifications:
  • An advanced graduate degree in international relations, medicine, nutrition, or related fields.
  • At least 5 or more years of relevant experience working with an INGO in increasing positions of reporting and responsibility.
  • Experience (5 years) developing and implementing Nutrition sector activities.
  • Excellent organizational and program management experience, including with staff work plans, budget management, HR Management and monitoring and evaluation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coordination and networking skills.
  • Experience with situation analysis and nutrition assessments.
  • Experience in capacity building and mentoring of staff.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to handle pressure and improve.
  • Positive attitude
  • Excellent computer skills in programs such as: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluency in Pashto, Dari and English
  • Ability to work closely, professionally, and constructively with all others regardless of nationality, ethnicity, gender, religion, race, tribe, or cultural background.
