Administrative Assistant III The International Potato Center (CIP) is looking for one (1) dynamic Administrative Assistants III with excellent organizational skills to support the Department operation.

About CIP: CIP, a member of the One CGIAR, a global research partnership for a food-secure future. One CGIAR science is dedicated to transforming food, land and water systems in a climate crisis, and it is carried out by 13 CGIAR Centers/Alliancesinclose collaborationwithhundredsofpartners,including nationalandregionalresearchinstitutes, civil society organizations, academia, development organizations and the private sector.

CIP works with partners in over 20 countries to improve diets and incomes of poor people in Africa, Asia and Latin America through scientific research, innovation, and capacity strengthening. Focusing on potato and sweetpotato as food systems entry point, CIP’s programs seek to strengthen broader agri-food systems to generate economic, social, and nutritional benefits for farmers, enterprises and consumers emphasizing the priorities of women and youth. CIP emphasizes the synergies between social and bio-physical sciences as a core strategy for making breakthroughs in our understanding of complex development challenges in food and agriculture and for our ability to overcome these. Within this pluralistic strategy, qualitative social science has a central, and increasing place for explaining human and institutional behavior and assessing benefits and risks for human development.

About the position: Assist and support the Science Leader/Manager/Supervisor and team members in a wide range of administrative, financial, and general support duties of a highly responsible and confidential nature to guarantee smooth flow and effectiveness of Program/ Department’s operations.

Key responsibilities:

• General administrative duties including writing and editing correspondence, answering phone calls, filing and processing travel logistics and expense reports.

• Knowledge of travel planning logistics (ticket, visas, hotel, transfers, liquidation of expenses) • Arrange national and international trips and provide assistance to ensure all the arrangements (travel, visas and lodging) and travel matters are being followed correctly and aligned to operational policies. • Use of CIP’s internal system to process requisitions in general and payment of invoices on a regular and timely basis.

• Arrange local parcel requests within Peru.

• Support reviewing service reports from institutional providers and arrange payment.

• Coordinate all kinds of transportation needs: deliver or collect electronic equipment or transport materials to experimental stations.

• Comply with national and international health and safety laws, regulations and standards. What are we looking for?

• Technical degree in secretarial administration.

• At least three years of experience in a similar position.

• Excellent skills in handling office technology and software applications.

• Outstanding writing and reporting skills.

• Ability to organize department activities and processes.
