Duties and Responsibilities
The eTrade Initiatives Section seeks to hire a Digital Engagement and Community Specialist to advise on the most effective strategies to build on the progress already made in increasing the visibility of the eTrade for Women initiative and to continue engaging and supporting the members of the eTrade for Women Communities, a network of women digital entrepreneurs established by UN Trade and Development. Under the supervision of the Chief of the eTrade Initiatives Section, the consultant will provide strategic guidance and support in the following areas: 1. Enhancing the current online visibility of the initiative a. Design and utilize templates and tools to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the current online visibility strategy. b. Optimise eTrade for Women's presence on social media platforms through advanced content creation, audience engagement, and community management strategies. c. Identify additional avenues, actions, and partnerships to increase the visibility of the initiative, with particular focus on South Asia and South-East Asia. d. Propose venues to showcase the impact of the initiative by providing visibility to contributors and beneficiaries. 2. Enhancing the Communities’ engagement a. Provide members with content and templates they can use to communicate about the initiative. b. Provide support and guidance to contributing members to encourage them to provide quality and engaging content , in particular in the establishment of the new South Asia Community. c. Craft and curate engaging content for the Communities' online groups, maintaining a consistent presence and fostering discussions, with a specific focus on the needs of South Asia and South-East Asia communities. d. Identify community engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of engagement strategies, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. 3. Strategic Advice for the eTrade for Women platform and Academy a. Develop a comprehensive follow-up strategy to promote the online platform hosting the Academy among eTrade for Women Communities' members, focusing on maximizing user adoption, retention, and engagement, with particular focus on South Asia and South-East Asia. b. Research and apply best practices from leading networking platforms to enhance the functionality and user experience of the eTrade for Women Academy platform. c. Establish processes and guidelines to facilitate the uploading of new courses for internal knowledge management. 4. Advanced Data Analytics and Reporting a. Implement data analytics tools to track engagement, user behaviour, and content performance across all digital platforms. b. Provide detailed reports and insights on the effectiveness of the strategies implemented, offering recommendations for continuous improvement. c. Utilize data to identify trends and opportunities that can further support the eTrade for Women initiative and make adequate recommendations to the team. 5. Other duties as required. The consultant's work will enhance the visibility and engagement of the eTrade for Women initiative, with an active community of women digital entrepreneurs and an improved user experience on the eTrade for Women online platform and Academy. Particular attention will be given to the South-East Asia Community and the newly created South Asia one.
Qualifications/special skills
A first university degree, Bachelor, in international relation, communication, business or related is required. At least 2 years of proven working experience in digital marketing is required Experience with content management systems and community management platforms is required Producing content for social media is desirable Experience with the UN is desirable
Languages
Fluency in English and Spanish is required. Knowledge of French would be an asset.
