SCOPE OF COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT VOLUNTEER WORK:This position is located within New Jersey Resettlement, Asylum, and Integration (RAI). The Volunteer and Outreach Intern will work closely with the Community Engagement Manager in the Development and Communications Department at RAI. This is an unpaid position that requires a minimum of 15 hours a week. Fully or Hybrid remote position. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with volunteer and intern recruitment and onboarding processes

  • Compile and post volunteer descriptions as needed

  • Assist in managing volunteer and intern timesheets and timesheet entries each month.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate, up-to-date data across pertinent databases

  • Attend community engagement events and information sessions

  • Conduct outreach, networking activities, and other advertising to recruit and educate volunteers and partners as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Deep commitment to immigrant rights.

  • Motivated, flexible, manages time effectively,and can work independently as well as within a team dynamic.

  • IRC orientation and full background check (Live Scan & HireRight) required.
