PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Commented [AQ49]: Would suggest a minimum of 10 years (both corresponding to what is listed below and to ensure more or at least the equivalent of experience to those on the team this position supervises).
Commented [JS50]: With a bulk of our programming being food security, should we emphasize specific sectoral-expertise requirements? e.g. food security; also relevance of things like WASH, health, shelter, etc.?
Commented [AQ51]: Wondering if ‘speedy action’ needs to be specified as WR generally isn’t one of the first responders... Commented [JS52R51]: Agreed. Perhaps "emergency response"? Commented [JS53]: I think there's a 'miss' in this JD around both localization and gender mainstreaming. I think we need to somewhere explicitly reference familiarity/knowledge of FIAP, and also I think there is a critical need for experience and knowledge of the Canadian humanitarian landscape, particularly IHA/GAC. And the fact that WR prioritizes working through partners, I think there should be a point in the experience section around knowledge of localization/experience working with local implementing partners in humanitarian response Commented [AQ54R53]: Agreed! Commented [DV55]: Has experience with CFGB or demonstrated knowledge of the CFGB structure etc.
Commented [AH56]: Why is Master's req'd? Should take into account equivalencies . For example, it is not required for the COO role - only 'strongly preferred'
Commented [AQ57]: ‘humanitarian assistance’ instead of ‘international development’
