About the Internship Program

The AIIB Global Internship Program is designed to provide young professionals with:

  • Hands-on Experience: Engage directly with AIIB’s projects, initiatives, and operations.
  • Professional Development: Work alongside experienced professionals in a multicultural environment.
  • Exposure to MDB Work in Infrastructure Financing: Understand the unique challenges and opportunities of infrastructure financing in Asia.
  • Networking Opportunities: Build connections with industry leaders and experts in the field of international development and finance.

Learning and Exposure

Interns at AIIB can expect a rich learning experience, including but not limited to:

  • Project Management: Participate in the planning, execution, and evaluation of infrastructure projects.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on policy issues, investment strategies, and emerging markets.
  • Technical Skills: Develop skills in financial modeling, data analysis, and project appraisal.
  • Innovation and Sustainability: Contribute to AIIB’s initiatives in promoting sustainable and innovative solutions to infrastructure challenges.

Eligibility

Applicants must have excellent academic records and professional qualifications while possessing strong communication, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills. The program is open to candidates of any citizenship.

  • Education: Candidates must be enrolled in a full-time masteral or doctoral study program from an internationally recognized institution with plans to return to school. Candidates working toward degrees in areas aligned with AIIB’s institutional goals are preferred.
  • Experience: Relevant professional work experience (including summer jobs and internships) would be an advantage, but not necessary.
  • Communication: Fluent in oral and written English.
