About the Project
The Project aims to integrate climate-inclusive technologies into livelihood practices, thereby facilitating dignified living, increasing incomes, reducing drudgery, and enhancing work productivity for the marginalized communities. Through strategic planning, partnership development, and stakeholder coordination, the project seeks to improve access to sustainable energy solutions tailored to the specific needs of the region.
Objective
The primary objective of the project is to enhance the impact of decentralized renewable energy initiatives for health and livelihoods. As the Senior Program Manager for the northeast team, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in formulating and executing a state-specific strategy, improving performance, procuring resources, ensuring compliance, and mentoring the team to achieve the project's goals effectively.
Job Functions
The Senior Program Manager for the northeast team will oversee a spectrum of responsibilities vital to the success of the organization's initiatives in the region. This includes spearheading team development and strategy formulation, fostering relationships with diverse stakeholders including local communities, government bodies, enterprises, and NGOs, and managing partnerships to drive impactful programs. Financial acumen is crucial for managing budgets, unlocking funds for renewable energy interventions, and strategizing operational plans for community needs assessment and research initiatives. Monitoring and evaluation of program performance, along with capacity building through training workshops, are integral components of the role. Effective communication, strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, financial management, and team leadership are essential skills for this position, enabling successful implementation and scaling of renewable energy interventions for livelihoods and health.

Qualifications:
7 to 10 years of experience in the development sector, particularly in sustainable energy and rural livelihoods, is preferred.
Candidates must be adept in the Assamese language to be considered for the position.
Experience in regional leadership roles and effective team management is desirable.
Demonstrated strong leadership skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate effectively, and pay attention to detail.
Eagerness to learn and develop both personally and professionally, embracing a steep learning curve.
Willingness to undertake extensive travel, including to remote and challenging terrains within and outside the state, as required.
