Specifically, the area’s general objective is to “contribute to the implementation of the country’s multilateral environmental agreements and conventions to avoid transgressing planetary limits, with a differential focus on those territories and populations that are most vulnerable and excluded, promoting the achievement of the 2030 Agenda”. With this in mind, it supports projects such as "Income increase f or small rural farmers, through value chain strengthening in two PDET regions: Montes de María and South of Córdoba.", a project developed in close collaboration with the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to enhance the resilience of vulnerable rural small-scale farmers to social, economic, and climate change shocks in two PDET regions of Colombia. The aim is to increase the income of small-scale farmers in Montes de María and South of Córdoba by strengthening the value chain of agricultural products such as yams, cassava, corn, cocoa, and plantain. This will be achieved by enhancing productive and commercial capacities, while also considering environmental approaches, climate change, and gender perspectives.
